I'm Laura Barrett, a natural light photographer based in Brighton, UK, specialising in newborn, family, portrait, maternity, sports, couples, and second-shoot wedding photography. I create relaxed, authentic images in a comfortable, enjoyable environment — capturing genuine moments you'll treasure for years to come.
My approach is simple: let people be themselves. I'm not interested in stiff poses or manufactured moments. I want the breath between sentences, the glance across a room, the way natural light falls on someone who thinks no one is watching.
Whether it's your newborn's first days, a family afternoon in the garden, a portrait that shows the real you, a maternity session, a sports event, time as a couple, or the behind-the-scenes moments of your wedding day, every session is unhurried and led by you.
I work primarily with natural light, on location or at your home, so you feel comfortable and at ease — because the best photographs happen when you forget the camera is there.
I work gently and patiently with ASD and SEND children, taking every session at the child's pace so they feel safe, relaxed, and free to be themselves.
